Our past students have provided us with constructive feedback and we have listened. Below are some of the changes we’ve made compared to previous years (ordered oldest to newest):

  1. We’ve significantly expanded our model roster! Students can now work with 10 different models during each shooting session. Those choosing the 3-day option will work with 20 models total, while 4-day participants will have the opportunity to work with 30 different models throughout the workshop. This is double the number of models compared to last year, providing unprecedented variety and shooting opportunities.
  2. We’ve completely reimagined Day 1 to better prepare you for success. Instead of a traditional presentation followed by a beach demonstration, we now offer:
    • A condensed, focused presentation
    • Comprehensive review of all workshop shooting locations
    • Live in-classroom lighting demonstration with a model
    • Hands-on practice session at Crandon Park 🌴 with 2 models, where you’ll receive direct guidance and mentoring
    • Preview and practice at the actual location of your first major shoot

This new format ensures you’ll be fully prepared for all of your shoot sessions, as you’ll have already practiced at the first location with guided instruction.

  1. We’ve booked Little River past sunset so we can eat dinner & mingle on location rather than waiting to get back to the hotel.
  2. The retouching lesson will include the latest and greatest AI Retouching Software from EVOTO. This will change the game for your retouching so you can spend more time shooting and less time at the computer.
  3. After the retouching lesson, Joey will host a live photo critique in the classroom with 2 guest models from Saturday’s shoot. Students will have a chance to show their photos and receive constructive critiques from Joey, the models, and fellow attendees.
  4. We’ve arranged earlier access to Stardust on Sunday, giving everyone more time to get together, mingle, and scout locations before their final shoot session.
